I would go to the time of Adam and Eve and prove that not only they existed but God too! Good question by the way!

ooooh maybe not so much of a good idea posting this in the science section. u r likely to get a hell of a lot of arguements against that. I, personally, would go back to the time where jesus was supposed to have risen. jesus's crucifixion doesnt prove he was the son of god, only that a person with that name existed and was crucified. i would go to when he is supposed to have risen, and prove that he is not the son of god and that God does not exist :D i feel a religious debate coming on...
I would go to the morning of the 1967 Grand National to put 100 on Foinavon to win.

Sometime with big dinosaurs. Well equipped, obviously. To see them in original colours, and to listen to their actual sounds would be amazing.

A week last Tuesday.
Hate to spoil the fun but if you go back to a time before you were born or knew what you know now, what would be the point?
I'd quite like to go back and see some dinosaurs too: probably around 100 million years ago. Or failing that I'd quite fancy a trip to the middle of the first millenium A.D. to see some knights and use a couple of science books to help me maskerade as a benevolent scorceror (obviously too powerful to be burned as a heretic or whatever), not unlike Ash in the Evil Dead.

But if it were possibly, then I'd definitely choose 100, 1000, 10,000 or however many years in the future, doesn't matter how far, but i imagine that even 100 years would completely blow your mind: it would be mega cool!
I would go back to the last time i had more than a week off work, or i would go back and prove that jesus did not exist (jesus may have existed but he was no son of god, For that there would have to be a god... which there is not. Just my personal beliefs ppl)

Of course if you could go back in time there's no guarantee that when you start the clock again things will happen the same.

For example if you went back in time to last week and put money on the lottery I'm pretty certain the winning numbers would be different!

The really interesting thing about being able to go back in time is you'd be able to see how much is predestined and how much influenced by random events.

Of course it's always possible that as you went back you'd forget as you went and would end up in the past with no knowlege of future events so spaced would end up in the crowd in Jerusalem jeering at some troublemaker getting nailed to a cross!

Hmm could be a good short story in that! or maybe I've already written it!

<retires for an asprin>

If I went back to a time before I was born I wouldn't exist.

If I didn't exist how could I go back in time?
I don't see any way that you could prove Jesus was or was not the son of God just by being there, after all wasn't he the son of a virgin who presumably was impregnated by some divine intervention which obviously is not something you would see even if you could have watched Mary for her whole life? and presumably Jesus did not have a large halo in real life?
Surely whitnessing the ressurection would be a good start. Although I've read a couple of books that suggest that Jesus never actually died: was taken off the cross whilst close to death: this apparently can explain the reason for the formation of the Turin Shroud with scientifc facts: as body heat would be required. So if you watch a dead Jesus being entomed in....wherever it was....then a living Jesus walking out; that would probably make a believer out of me, sceptical as I currently am.

I still think dinosaurs are cooler though :)
tell you what, i'd go back to the friday before the euromillions was won.
