apologies,

The arrogant self-assumption that the Eng-er-lish (sic) rugby team are the best in the world?
Imagine Puala Radcliffe races against a speedy tortoise in a marathon. She runs at 10 mph and the tortoise does one mph. If the tortoise is given a head start of 10 miles, it will take Paula an hour to reach the tortoises starting point but in that same hour the tortoise has moved a mile. It takes Paula six minutes to travel that mile but during that time the tortoise has travelled 1/100th of a mile. With every distance travelled by Paula, the tortoise has moved ahead of her by a tenth and so she will never catch the tortoise and yet we all know she will, dont we?
If she trips over the tortoise prior to the finish line all bets are off.
