River Shannon in Southern Ireland.Part of the British Isles.

The River Shannon in the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND. I is NOT in "Southern" Ireland being in Central Ireland. When dim-wits refer to "Southern Ireland" as being that part of Ireland which is not Northern Ireland just remember that the northernmost part of Ireland is in that part which they call "Southern".
Alright Lingam to keep you happy I will refer to Southern Ireland as The Republic but every reference to the River Shannon On Google is listed as the longest River in the British Isles.I also take great offence to being called a dimwit.Very rude.!!! We have had nasty remarks like this before and got rid of the person involved. This Answer Bank is for enjoyment.
Hear Hear Patsyann

Severn

I agree that there are far too many people on this site who enjoy being rude. I have just been "had a go at " for answering a qwyzzle question!

Don't worry about it, Patsyann. The word 'lingam' is Sanskrit for the penis, so I'm sure you can think of a nickname for the provider of the response after yours above!
The answer is definitely the Shannon. Although Eire, The Republic of Ireland, Southern Ireland or whatever else one chooses to call it is not in Britain, it IS in the British Isles. The Severn is the longest in Britain.
Hi Quizmonster. My Husband had already pointed out the meaning in Sanskrit of Lingam, but I was too much of a Lady to reply to him by that name!!!! The original question Sawzy posted asked for the longest river in the British isles so I was right.Thank you for the back up.It is such a pity when things get nasty. Most of us have a nice A B relationship.
go for it patsyann - it's not that impolite to call someone a ******** - and it does even up the score for the uncalled-for dim-wit remark. In fact it sounded very much like a Dkeyse kind of remark!
sorry AB ED - didn't mean to be naughty!
am I allowed to say ****head?
Looks like Dykese is back in disguise.
yes JimJools, could be. Can you see a tenuous link between some of the names that have caused probs before and now? Biley, Dkeyse, Lingam - the cryptic experts on this site would probably find the common denominator!! Can't quite work out Kayakamina though.
