forensic science
Does anyone happen to know where a14 year old can go to enquire about working in this area when they leave school? Have tried enquiring at the school but no one has been of any help,they say they don't know,this is the line he wants to do and with his options coming up we would like to know what lessons he should be going for,we have an idea its maths for definate,cheers

Strathclyde University have an excellent degree course in Forensic Science and Analytical Chemistry. Jobs in Analytical Chemistry are more widely available.

There are all sorts of specialities in forensic science from computers through biology to guns, DNA and documents so he/she needs to define a particular area of interest, nobody does everything as is seen on TV!
There are only six Home Office labs and a few private companies in the country so it is important to live within easy commuting distance of the work place.
