Somebody please reply i really need answers before tomorow otherwise i am screwed please i just need an explanation about how the particles move about etc so please somone help me lol thank you
We don't know! Do your own reasearch It'll be on the net somewhere just google.
I've just googled and there were loads of links - I just couldn't be bothered to look through any of them for you. Next time don't leave it so late before trying to do your homework!
What's the details of the question?

Magnesium + Hydrochloric acid = magnesium chloride + hydrogen

This follows the general reaction of metal + acid = salt + hydrogen

the details of the question lol were please could someone give me a detailed explination of the reaction between hcl and mg please like about the particles etc as soon as poss please thanks lol like i cant do my homework and i cant type a question neither etc lol
And yet the government is doggedgly insisting that the standard of A Levels are as high as they ever were...............................................................

And now the deadline has passed....
(I resisted answering this question yesterday for the reasons mentioned above.)

Your question was hardly explicit. "Tell me about mg [sic] and hcl [sic]" no 'please', no explanation about what exactly you wanted to know.

I could have wasted my time talking about the extraction and purification of magnesium ( that's Mg with a capital 'M'), or it's relative abundance in the Earth's crust. I could have described the manufacture and industrial uses of hydrochloric acid, HCl.

But I would guess that what you were actually after (and couldn't be bothered to research yourself), was information about reacting magnesium with hydrochloric acid. Had you actually paid any attention to the subject at all, you may have been able to google a few key words and phrases like "Rates of Reaction" and "concentration".

Still, too late now - did you manage to copy off anyone else ?

ok i get really P****D off with people who make judgements about me when they dont know me. for your information CheekyChops i did look on google and i couldnt find anything as i always look on google before coming here! Flip -Flop i am not an A - Level student i am a GCSE student fyi i am doind extremely well seeing as all my target grades are A/A*. Space i dunno what your going on about. brachiopod again i am not stupid and i am not a cheat as you are implying, i just got stuck for gods sake i did listen to the subject as well but then again you wouldnt know as you dont know who the hell i am or anything about me! Thankyou those of you who tried to help me instead of insulting my intelligence or organisation!

elerrina, there are lots of people on here who do expect others to answer their homework questions for them. If you had explained that you were stuck and had tried to look, you probably wouldn't have got all the sarcastic answers.

Your original question just asked for 'a detailed explanation of the reaction between hcl and mg - as soon as poss'. That sounds like someone who wants their homework done for them.

'Could anyone please help, I have to write about the reaction between HCl and Mg but I'm stuck' would have been much better and probably would have resulted in the answer you wanted.

the point being no one need give sarcastic answers in the first place its just rude if someone walked up to you in the street and asked you, you wouldnt reply like that to them. its unnecessary.
If someone walked up to me in the street and sid "please reply I really need answers before tomorrow otherwise I am screwd please I just need an explanation about how the particles move etc. so please help me *chuckle* thank you" I would run away screaming madman. If you took notes in lesson when you were being shown these experiments then you wouldn't need to come on here insulting people and expecting them to do your work for you.

spacechimp, you can be a little insistant yourself. It's all good.

thanks 4 the *

you really dont know anything about youth culture and msn i take it then. and dont tell me how to do my work alright im fine in how i do it already i made a mistake sorry im not perfect cause u seem to think you are
I felt the same over this question last night as CheekyChops which is why I did not answer.

With regard to any abuse you feel you've suffered, I suggest you join Google Groups Chemistry and make your postings there. The people on there treat you as an imbecile if you haven't got anything less than a PhD.
I know plenty about youth culture elerrina, I am a child. I also know about civility and reason. I would not expect someone else to do my homework for me.

...and this is not MSN.

Question Author
i WAS NOT EXPECTING somone to do my homework for me i was asking for some help as i was stuck and i dont see wot you problem is. again making judgments on me even though you dont know me. stop making sweeping statements about people. alright i was stuck and was asking for some help as i couldnt find anything on google. i am sorry for using this website as it is supposed to be used, for asking a question and expecting someone out ther in the world to be able to help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"stop making sweeping statements about people"...this from the person who said "you really dont know anything about youth culture and msn i take it then...not perfect cause u seem to think you are".

What's that word I'm looking for...hypocrite?

Calm down eleririna.

Well, like the particles just bump into each other and change into other particles like.

Does that answer your question? Probably not because your question was unintelligible.
