Blow moulded, same as milk bottles.

Drawn, I think.

Yep - it's pulled:

(from http://www.1911encyclopedia.org/G/GL/GLASS.htm )

(B) Tube. The process of making tube has already been scribed. Although the bore of the thermometer-tube is :eedingly small, it is made in the same way as ordinary ~e. The white line of enamel, which is seen in some thermoters behind the bore, is introduced before the mass of glass Dulled out. A flattened cake of viscous glass-enamel is welded to one side of the mass of glass after it has been hollowed by wing. The mass, with the enamel attached, is dipped into I crucible and covered with a layer of transparent glass; I whole mass is then pulled out into tube. If the section of I finished tube is to be a triangle, with the enamel and bore the base, the molten mass is pressed into a V-shaped mould fore it is pulled out.

What I said before is rubbish. Apparently.
A thermometer could be toblerone shaped or even a mould of my own fat head, what matters is the calibartion. Take your glass head with some mercury in it, but it in melting ice and mark where the mercury is, this is 0 degreed C. Next place it in pure boiling water, mark where the mercury is, this equals 100 degrees C. Now you have a thermometer that can measure to the nearest 100 degrees C. An even tube is used so you can divide the space between the two marks into 100 smaller marks, these equal 1 degree each. That's ghow the measuring stuff is done. Combine that with you glass answers and you've got youre answer.
