Physiological effects of recreational drugs

I have an assignment to do (A level) on the above subject and need some advice. I have to choose 3 drugs - I thought heroin, cocaine and ecstacy would give me the most to talk about but i'm finding specifc advice hard to come by. Can anyone advise or give me good links regarding each system the drugs physological effects


e.g I know cocaine stimulates the brain etc, (yeah the obvious stuff), but what parts and what happens short/long term etc, also regarding the heart lungs etc, anything pleeeeeeezzzzzz xx

Cocaine's a great one. It increases heart rate and restricts the blood vessels - blood pressure goes up and it's heart attack city.


It's a real killer for late-middle aged b-list celebs
