identical twins same sexuality?

after a drunken debate last night i was wondering if our sexuality is genetic would identical twins both be straight or gay, or could one be straight and one gay?

If sexuality is genetic - and though many people think sexual preference is substantially genetically determined, it's by no means a totally accepted view - then identical twins would necessarily share the same sexuality.

I knew twin girls who were a couple of years older than me at school. They are both lesbians.

I just read a chapter in a book actually. The book is 'Why men don't listen and women can't read maps' by Allan & Barbara Pease. It's really interesting...explains things like this and says a study done on identical twins separated at birth and brought up in different families were mostly of the same sexuality. Also it explains that sexuality is determined by genes and can be influenced by the amount of stress the mother is in during the first 6 months of pregnancy (stress upsets the level of male and female hormones the baby receives). Well worth a read...

I know a guy who is gay and his sister is a lesbian. He is effeminate and she is butch. They look quite odd together!

i was at school with a set of identical twin sisters, one is a lesbian and one is straight...xx

I saw a thing on the telly a while ago about a set of identical twins .... guys. One was straight and the other was not only gay but a transexual too...so maybe in the end straight seeing as he had the op to be a woman!! Hmm...sorry not any help and just a tad confusing!! lol
