Daddy long legs
3 Answers
What months of the year are daddy long legs usually out? I'd go onto a daddy long legs website (if such things exist) to find out but I'm scared of them and I'm worried about seeing some pictures. They seem to be out earlier this year.

What I know as 'daddy long legs are the 'Harvestman' that look somewhat like a spider but only one main part to the body, like a crab which they are more closely related to, they are often seen around september (harvest time)
If the ones you mean have wings, long bodies and legs, then some people call these daddy long legs too which are really crane flies, which hatch out from leather jacket grubs at the onset of autumn, some times a little earlier, they are also harmless and I can understand how you are afraid of them, to me they look like giant mosquitos! but I just tell myself they cant bite or harm me! All the Best. T bird+
