Hi wendy,

can't remember the exact number, but less than they predicted..

with the stock market falling etc... so don't be spending your windfall just yet!!

Have just managed to answer my own question by Googling and find the offer price will be 230p per share, which analysts are predicting could quickly rise to about 245 as institutional funds buy in, as all applications for shares over 2,000 have been pared down.
Apparently share certificates will be despatched after July 17th to anybody who requested one
Hi yes they are 230p but have been offer to us at 218p and are now on the stock market at 242p.

I have invested 1000 and have an additional 187 that they allocated me.

What does this mean for me now?

Madham, I don't the profit we're going to make on this deal is going to make us millionaires, especially when you take into account the lousy returns on the With Profits policies members have held in recent years. Their performance has been a disgrace actually. I will never buy a With Profits policy again !
Hi Wendys - Did you buy any yourself?
Question Author
Yes, I did buy 1000 worth and will hold them until July 07 to gain the bonus shares. Then if they're still looking a reasonable bet, I'l probably put them into an ISA - no point in paying tax on the dividends although all the analysts think they will struggle to maintain these at 4%. The big dilemma now is whether to continue holding my policy.
