Smarties - whatever happened to the blue ones?

Can any explain to me where all the blue smarties have gone??? Also does anybody else find the current smarties advert annoying??? How can there not be any artificial colourings in such bright sweets???

I wasn't aware that they'd stopped doing the blue ones, I obviously lead a sheltered life....

They are not as bright as they used to be...and | guess that thye just can't come up with a 'non-artificial' way to make the blue colour.

The blue smarties were always the funniest when I was a kid - come on what is the world coming to???

I used to lick them and put the colour on as 'lipstick'...

IzzieQ - I did that as well. Organe or red for the lips and purple or green or blue for the eyes, then run around for about 3 hours trying to avoid the wasps and flies!!

I've been fancying a tube of smarties for weeks - still have'nt got them. I'll miss the blue :'(
