Eye Laser surgery

I have been thinking of having eye laser surgery but not sure where the best place is to have this done. Has anyone any comments both for and against and also where the best place is to have it done. I live in the Stockport area so anywhere round there or Manchester. Look forward to hearing your comments. Thanks.

if you go to www.lasik-eyes.co.uk there are reviews (good & bad) about all the different clinics, from people who had their surgery there.

I personally had mine done at Optical Express, they have branches throughout the UK.

I would like to have this done too, but I have just discovered scuba diving over the past 2 years and am in the process of obtaining my PADI cert. Iam stil at the stage of having 'someone watch over me' but alot of dive clubs have a disclaimer that says they will not take responsibility for somebody who has had this surgery because the intra-ocular pressure could be fatal....I've struggled with specs my whole life - could you not just put up with yo' specs because your'e used to it , it's easy. Right.. Used to work with a guy that got it done @ visionexpress - had to wear shades for a week but after that his life was on fire. Last I saw he was selling socks..Silly cnut
