90 foot rubber plant - I can't give it away!
I've been asked by my boss to see if we can donate a rubber plant which is housed in one of our office buildings. Apparently it has been growing up the stairwell of this office block since 1967 and it's now 6 storeys high (about 90 foot). We are refitting the building and unfortunately it has to go - but the staff there are up in arms that we are contemplating putting it in a skip. I've tried loads of Botanical Gardens such as Kew etc but no-one wants it as it's so big! Anyone got any ideas where I can try next?(as I'm losing the will to live)

How about phoning a reporter on your local paper? They might come and take a photograph of it and write a short article on "90 foot rubber plant seeks a new home. Any offers". Sometimes local papers get really stuck to find interesting news - you might find a new home for it via this route. (Although how it gets transported to its new venue I can't begin to imagine!)
