The Sun is 868,000 miles (1,400,000 kilometers) across and its mass is 2 x 10^30 kg...
. . . and now that your question has been answered here's another . . .

The Sun is about 1,391,000 kilometers (862,400 miles) in diameter.
This is about 109 times the diameter of Earth or
about 10 times the diameter of its largest planet Jupiter.

Although from Earth the Sun has about the same apparent size as the Moon it is about 400 times larger and 400 times further away.

The Suns mass is about 1.989 10^30 kg
(about two million, million, million, million, million kilograms) or about 333000 times that of the Earth.

Earth is 12,742 kilometers (7,900 miles) in diameter.
. . . You might want to add this one to your favorites. I just did!

You are definitely one helpful person, mibn. Excellent piccies (one of which is now my current desktop) and useful info on using AB! I'd rate you 3*, but I'm not the author of this question.
NiceCupOfTea, Thanks! I enjoy reading your helpful answers too.
Clanad beat me too it but I hated letting all that research go to waste.
chaperon2005, appears to be new here and may not know about the stars yet, or maybe I scared them away with my perseverance.
Great question and answers but too big for me to comprehend, could someone put it in context, say for example if the earth was a pea, what would be equivalent to the size of the sun and distance between?
this big

Actual comparitive distance 107 to 108 times the size of the Sun
. . . click on the Earth to magnify.
Thanks mibn, that puts it in perspective!
