I have noticed lately that a lot of candle makers are advertising that their wicks are lead free.
Is there a lot of lead in old candles, and does it pose any real risk, or is this just another marketing thing?
TIA

It's interesting stuff. Hazardous? Not according to surveys of current candle manufacturers who seem adamant that their products are safe.

My advice? Stay clear of metal-wicked candles just in case.
I think it appeals to ppl who use them for arts and crafts..

My mam uses that kinda stuff.. everything's gotta be lead-free!
