With the reduction of the polar ice fields, and the following rise in sea level. how will the the tides be affected. will the larger body of water mean higher extreames in tides, and will this lead to more dramtic weather systems forming.

Cats and dogs the world over are in my eyes suffering needlesly. Global Worming is definitely something that can't be ruled out.
Further to your Eureka type theory (which I think you should patent or write a paper on), we should go that step further and ban fat people from swimming in the sea. Just think what effect all those overweight Brits floating around on Lilos in teneriffe and lanzarote must be having on the British coastline. Is it any wonder our coastline is eroding. Should we ban ships too?
