If it is really like our third rock from the sun then it would be reasonable to assume that it is like our Earth was 4 billion years ago, before life evolved.

i think its gonna be teaming with life. just like it is here. just look at how life really does survive everywhere on this planet. i think its a definate. imagine if they are an intelligent bunch who have been waiting for us to notice them. could be the most important discovery ever.
