Fats attracted to plastics?

I've noticed no matter how hot the water, no matter how much or how little fairy liquid I use the oils and fats that end up in the washing up water all end up on plastic and rubber items. I have quite a few plastic ikea plates and bibs made of rubber. I end up washing them a few times before the grease has gone. Whereas normal plates and cutlery are fine. Why is it fats appear to be attracted to these materials?

Probably just because the materials are rougher than the traditional materials, so the grease has more grip.

It's also why the traditional materials will be more shiny than other stuff.
