Ok....I think I've established that a ton of popcorn would indeed be the same as a ton of anything and would probably crush you to death if dropped on you and there is no density issue. (Obviously I knew this)

But....

Do you think that you would drown in the avalanche of popcorn first or would the crushing kill you outright?

And would whether it was butter, sugar or salt have any implications?

Ethan - It's a TON of popcorn; who in blazes eats that fast?!

Twizzler - Could you consult with Grisam (sp) instead please? That Horatio gets an odd look in his eye sometimes and I don't think he's to be trusted. Hence the very dark glasses.

no because grissom would find some bug in the popcorn and keep it as a pet whereas horatrio would tell eric to take it to the lab and then say to that blonde thing "here's what i want you to do "

Tut @ you Bon...Grissam would look at every possibility and take all in to consideration, including the popcorn topping.

And the bug could have a major effect too... just think of the chaos theory... if that little bug flaps it's wings a ton of feathers could fall on someone else! I'm glad Grissam has taken it home as a pet.

Horatio might also try to shoot the popcorn and that wouldn't help the situation at all!

he would stand sideways though as if he has a sore back and say something corny and rush off quickly before the music starts, yes callie has a southeren yankee drawl
very annoying, i would imagine it would depend on size and age of person and whether a major organ is crushed often it is the crushing of the heart that causes death, there are examples of people being kept alive by the weight of the object on them, removing it causes massive bleeding so alex would need to be nearby with an iv and medi kit

Ah... but what about that lad that got burried alive with all the ants (that Grissam identified)? They could use that method to get someone crushed by popcorn out surely?

have you never seen some of those record-breaking eating contests they have? a ton of popcorn would be easy-peasy. especially if it was the toffee variety!
