Does anyone know how you can dry out sand from a childs sandpit? Because of the rain our sandpit got filled up with water, we would like to have some dry sand as well as wet to play with indoors but cant seem to get it to dry out. Have tried putting it on plates and putting it in the airing cupboard over night but it hasn't worked, any ideas? Thanks

If we have any dry weather it should dry out but do you not have a cover on it? Helps keeps cats out aswell as rain.
Buy some more. Argos were selling it for just over 2 per bag about a month ago. :o)

It did have a lid on it but i guess because the rain was so heavy it got through. We've now been putting it out in the sun whenever we get some, just have to keep bringing it in again when it rains! Thanks for your help.
put it in the oven on a baking tray. Not too hot though.
I would recommend buying new sand which you can get from http://www.sandpitsonline.co.uk/ and then I would highly suggest getting a sandpit cover.
