It has to do with the slow down of regeneration of the cell structure, they are benign cysts that don't go away by themselves. I read that alphahydroxcy acids and retinoids may help. It also said the dermatoligist can remove them. If they are still small I use a needle (sterilized and very careful as to have minimal damage to my skin) and open the top layer of skin and then you can usually get them out. That would be a personal choice if you do remove them yourself, I am not reccomending anyone do that and am not responsible if someone does, I am only telling you what I do because I don't and can't afford to go to the dermatologist every time I get one.
