Florida, finally been!

For any of you that have answered my mountains of questions over the past year and a half about florida, well i have finally been and come back. We had a fantastic time, we didn't need a car although one would have been nice we certainlt didny need one. The hotel suites were great, disney was fantastic, wasnt really interested in busch gardens and universal resort more for older children (mines only 2). The only one problem was the heat, my god it was hot, but you got used to it! On the whole had a fantastic time, would definatly go again but maybe in jan/feb when its a bbit cooler! Thanks for all your help with the questions!

Glad you enjoyed it, i love it there too! The good thing about the heat is that everywhere is air conditioned so it is easy to escape it!

glad you had a great time, next time try California, its even better.We stayed at the Great Western[budget type hotel] and it was across the road to Disney, you just crossed the street and there was the entrance, we also did KnottsBerry farm and a day trip to Tijuana, tthen on to San Francisco then Carmel & Monterey.

I meant to say in Disney in Anaheim, California and you go via the John Wayne Airport and there is a life size bronze statue of the great man himself.

I have to say I disagree about California being better, Florida is much bigger and with more attractions and less built up around it as well!

Apparently Walt Disney saw all the things he'd like to improve after California was built and put these improvements into Florida, including the fact that it had got built up around and so he bought the surrounding land to so that the surrounding area owuldnt get built up!

LOL - did you try the different flavours of Pringles? And all that candy! Glad you had a good time - I've booked again for next year - fourth time and wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Scooby - I hope she got a chance to visit one of our regular
supermarkets - not just a little convenience store - and/or one of our Wal-mart Superstores or Target Superstores instead of a regular one. I would like her opinion of those:)

When she asked about bringing snacks to the USA - I thought - that's a bit like bringing coals to Newcastle:)

actually i am so glad i took our own snacks because i and my son didnt like the ones we found, we wnt to wal mart, winn dixie,wal green and many little shop, but we did find 1 shop the sold some english stuff so that was good, we are all very particular about our tummies! But i did only ask for peoples advice not to be made to feel like a fool!

I did not intend to make fun of you by any stretch of the imagination. I just thought you would think it was funny when you got here and saw what a HUGE variety of snacks we have in the USA!!!

I am very surprised and also very sorry to hear that you couldn't find ANY that pleased you.
