Miles Per Gallon???

After a car accident earlier this year i required physiotherapy. Now I need to give my solicitor details so i can claim back the fuel i used travelling there. How will i find out how many miles to the gallon my car does. Clearly i don't want to put a gallon in the car and see how many miles i can get out of it.

Is there a site that will have this kind of information?

Having used Autotrader's valuation on their website based on a :

Volkswagen Polo (94-02) Hatchback 1.9D CL 3dr

The MPG is 47.9.

No need to get all complicated, just put 40mpg.

i would of thought after all your time, effort, depreciation value and fuel you should be putting in at least �0.50ppm.

i doubt you could get a taxi for this rate, plus all of your parking expenses ..if any?
