Has anyone looked into the pirated spares that find their way onto our aircraft?
An example is Boeing engine mounting bolts that are supposed to be changed
when their fatigue life has expired, we know the aircraft histories and they know how many spares they have supplied over the years, do these figures equate?

my sister buys spares for Nato inclusing RAF aircraft and she can find anything anywhere, even in a shed on the edge of a remote airfield, it is apparently all computerised stock holdings scattered to the 4 corners of the globe, might be the same case here?
