Semi precious stone

Hi all, wasn't sure where to post this question really, so apoligies if it was best suited somewhere else :o)

I bought my daughter a semi precious stone today and can't for the life of me remember what the hell it is called!!! I have searched on Google images of charts of semi precious stones and can't find it.

It is turquoise in colour and was called something like Howgate?? It definately began with a H.

I only got it as I was buying something else and thought she may like it because of the colour and It's driving me potty trying to find out what it is called!
