One for the numismatists
2 Answers
I have recently come across two old silver coins - worn but legible - an 1865 Shilling (quite worn) and an 1853 sixpence (very worn). The actually came out of a roof truss in an old house (joiners used to do that sort of thing apparently to bring good luck). I have searched on the web and have values varying from 400 (collector site - mint coin) to 1 -(Ebay) - for anyone really keen I can post a link to a site where I can post images of the coins. Any ideas on value?
