Things that make you go ermmmm......
If science is based on fact & prove, how come it goes against the old english 'knowledge' of i before e.............

Good old grammar and alphabet, learning exactly what is what in a sentence, learning a paragraph by heart and trying to write it down without spelling mistakes...All this encourages the development of memory and attention to detail, which are invaluable in life, even long after school days!
My eldest had to change his primary school when we moved house but I still kept in touch/& favoured the head mistress of his first school, she had won awards for turning around the school! She left not long after but when I spoke to her, not as a parent anymore, she told me that things have changed so much, that its about 'grades' now & they focused on the 'bright' children to make them grades that she'd lost faith in it all :(
I find this so sad this woman had won an award 8 years running for changes she had made, but then decided to give up! :(
