I have never seen anything quite like it before and I don't mean to be goulish or anything but it's so strange.
What could have caused him to react like this to what seemed to be nothing more than a bad tackle.
Surely he just would have been knocked out.
I am do not think it was as stated in some of the comments that this is any sort of act of god but it is very very strange.
I don't think it's fake either.

I have looked at this sad and curious clip a couple of times. The tackle was fierce but not desperately so...I wonder if he coincidentally suffered some kind of epileptic siezure, which caused the extraordinary muscular spasms seem to cause him to arch his back so markedly. This could have also been part of a brain bleed, or stroke, which could have been caused by the collision....

I thought this as well but I've never seen anything quite like this. It's sad and extraordiary at the same time.
I to have watched it several times trying to work out what it is that happened to set it off. It looks like he was caught in the head but I'm not sure.

it is certainly a very sad thing to watch..but i have seen didier drogba and cristiano ronaldo do this on more than one occasion with even less contact ...this guy looks to be in genuine distress tho.

I have watched this on utube & I agree with all that has been said. However I was particularly intigued by the sound track,can anyone suggest where I can get this?

I don't know. The first few times I watched it I had the sound off. I found it rather depressing when I heard it.
