The Pineal Gland secretes a substance called dimethyltryptamine (DMT), which is shockingly the most powerful hallucinogenic drug known to mankind. It can be isolated from a variety of plants, but amazingly it is produced naturally in our own Pineal Gland. It is believed to pay a roll in the dreaming process, although this is little more than speculation. Investigators who have experimented with the exotrinsic version of the chemical report profound distortion of the perception of time. Dr. Rick Strassman's book - "DMT - The Spirit Molecule" is a fascinating investigation into this substance.
