Was watching one of these aircraft crash investigation programmes last night .

Very sad ,as they usually are .

As well as the welling up of tears - also got the feeling in the back of the throat , as if the throat is swelling up .

What exactly , physiologically is ocurring to the body , in the back of the throat - something chemical ?

Was it a sore feeling in your throat? I believe the psychological desire to speak out and voice your opinion can manifest as a physical symptom of soreness. Sometimes, if I'm singing along to music in my head, I get a sore throat; even though I was not singing out load. Bizarre!
