The body shop
Does anyone know what methods the body shop uses to find out if a product is safe for people to use as the do not use animals, and also what sort of laboratory jobs are there in health and beauty products?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The problem I have with this is that although The Body Shop is fond of advertising its anti-vivisection policy and ethical standpoint, it would be well-nigh impossible for it to guarantee that at least some of the ingredients contained in Body Shop products do not originate from dubious sources where such ethical standpoints mean very little.
I think this was confirmed in the small print of the company's website the last time I looked.
As for laboratory jobs in H&B, there are loads. It does depend on your particular expertise, but they employ formulation chemists, quality control chemists, microbiologists, powder technologists, polymer scientists, colour chemists, perfumers, product developers, trichologists, rheologists,packing technologists and pharmacologists amongst others.
