energy saving light bulbs

i have a chandelier which holds 3 60w candle bulbs and whish to change to low energy.
i am aware there are different types eg. led etc and lower wattage.
can anyone please advise what would be best for me.

inform funny enough the electrician was in my last night, he said use 8watts low energy bulbs i think!!!!
