prince 2 project management software
2 Answers
Does anyone have any insight into Prince 2 that they would be prepared to share? I have been looking at a few jobs that specify use of said software. As far as i can make out, this program is a glorified spreadsheet that encourages you to record the progress of a project and as such, it will be as useful as the people operating it. Am I missing something essential?
In my current work we have a similar project management software inflicted on us, which enables our IT team to 'write off' requests as if completed and is frankly part of the problem rather than providing the solution.
Any guidance gratefully received.

My understanding of P2 software is that it uses stage boundaries and checkpoints that are specific to the Prince2 methodology as opposed to MSP where you can title things pretty well as you like.
Probably not a lot of help, but I'd have thought you'd need to have taken the P2 course otherwise the software would probably be largely irrelevant.
