bird egg i/d

Can anyone i/d an egg shell I came across while out with the dog this morning? Golden Brown 4.5 - 5cm long no other markings

Sounds like a pheasant's. Have a look at this pic. The pheasant egg shown is unusually pale, but they can range in colour from that shown to the same colour as the quail egg in the photo. Typically 45mm x 34mm in size
