Can anyone please tell me at what temperature does galvanised steel loose it's strength.

If however you mean at what temperature does galvanising loose its efficiency..... above 250c. it will start showing signs of breaking down, but again, depending on what it is applied to.

wildwood, thanks .What i am specifically trying to find out is about scaffolding tubes that were involved in a fire that totally destroyed a timber frame building and melted some tubes.Other tubes didn't melt but all boards on them were totally destroyed also.Would these scaffold tubes be safe to use ? (I would have thought not)
I see. The galvanising is merely a coating on the steel to prevent it from rusting, so is not relative to the condition of the piping.
Personally, I would not use that tubing for scaffolding until a suitably qualified person has inspected it.
If one side of some of the pipes has been heated in the fire, the pipe may be stronger on one side than the other, this may cause buckling.
