3. Being able to read people's minds - literally
2. Space travel

2) Relocation to new and distant planets
3) Cybermen

Apparently the possibility of being able to read a person's mind is well on the way to development now. Once perfected, it'd be easy to implant something which'd allow people to do that without being wired up to various gadgets.
A bit of a dangerous idea if you ask me though!
