can anyone explain to me the two types of pressure. what is it absolute and something else. i did get a 2.1 in engineering a few years ago but in one ear and out the other so to speak. thanks

You may be thinking of Absolute and Gauge pressure. Absolute has its zero as pure vacuum; Gauge pressure is relative to atmospheric pressure

As a general guide 0 Bar Gauge (BarG) is equivalent to 1 Bar Absolute (BarA). The difference between them is a constant value of 1 Bar.
