I am. sure that tens of thousands of people have, but whether or not it has helped cure a disease, is quite another matter
Broccoli made me sick as a child, so I don't think so.

Well there's some research only this week that Broccoli is an oxident that helps to cure many of the Cancers including breast and colon. It is also useful for those who suffer from Allergic Rhinitus and Asthma to clear the airways.
I have had asthma for over 20 years(I also have emphysema) and broccoli has never helped me,it's never harmed me either though :)
Then why have countless thousands of people died from said cancers & suffer from allergies when they probably ate broccoli?

It is not medically researched or medically proven.

Some facts:

Also theres an article in the Daily Mail today!
If I ever see anything about homeopathy, health supplements or the like being of any benefit whatsoever in The Lancet - then I'll take it seriously.
rov...I thought that the Daily Maill today had stimulated your interest in Broccoli.

The article describes work done by "American Researchers"....these could well be animal studies, something quite different from "properly conducted therapuetic trials" of which, up to date I have seen none from reputable sources.
My mother ate broccoli twice a week since she was little as she loved it but she died of breast cancer so it didn't help her. I have read that sprinkled with curicuma (spelling?) it can help the liver. Any vegetable because of the roughage could help with intestines and colon but I fail to see any connection with food and breast cancer.
coccinelle....I think rov is talking about CURING diseases not PREVENTING them.
Well, sqad she didn't stop eating the broccoli in the last six years of her life when breast cancer was diagnosed so it didn't help CURE it neither. The curicuma (or whatever) on broccoli is supposed to CURE a bad liver
