there's lots of evidence, from people who say they've seen flying objects to people who say they've been abudcted by aliens. The question is whether you believe them or not. Can they all be liars or madmen?
In terms of logic rather than evidence, it seems quite likely that there are other lifeforms in the universe and that some of them might have developed sufficiently to have travelled through space. If so you might reasonably expect some of them to have got here.

I agree with that last couple of sentences Lucy. It's odd that the aliens never land in the middle of London, New York or Melbourne. And after a 1940s comic strip depicted visiting aliens as large-eyed thin-necked grey beings, that then became what people reported.
UFOs are what that stands for - UNIDENTIFIED flying objects. That they're not identified doesn't make them extra-terrestrial.
No-one's really answered Joolee's question about what the evidence is.

Backdrifter, evidence' isn't the same as 'proof'. If you stood up in a court of law and said under oath that you'd seen a UFO (and many people claim to have done so), yes, it'd be evidence. It would be up to the court to decide whether it was reliable, as it is up to you to do so here. The fact that lots of people give similar evidence might make it more reliable; the fact that nobody else had seen a given phenomenon might make it less so. But it's still evidence. And some clearly do think it's proof, too.
As for aliens not landing in the middle of London - well, neither do humans on jumbo jets; it wouldn't be safe whatever planet you came from. I don't think that works as an argument.

yes I have lucy, you are ignoring the practicalities, I said even at warp 10 you still can't communicate effectiveliy with even the closest star. So unless you think there is some sort of Stargate type arrangement around the corner, I'd say the sun will go red giant before we reach warp 1. It's a lovely sci fi dream, that's all, sad that in a universe teaming with life we'll never see any of it.

i heard on telly, they were on earth long ago. They made offspring with primitave humans. Their strange shaped eyes and stuff ended up creating a hybrid.
The documentary said that is how Japanese/Chinese got their looks, from aliens...
If they were wrong, that is a really mean thing to say.
I just thought I should say this.
I'm not being racist or anything.
