I'm probably posting this in the wrong place, but here goes:You might as well only answer this if you live in the UK.My question is about a kid's Science magazine issue called The Horrible Science Collection.(there was also a Horrible History Collection last year, which was better,I think.)Anyway, how on earth do you use the skin crawler you get with issue 1?

You look at the twisty squirly pattern on the card for about 40 seconds and then quickly transfer your gaze to the back of your hand and the skin appears to be moving and twisting. It's an optical illusion based on persistence of vision and the perception of motion evoked through curved concentric lines.

Thanks,Hippy.

I feel so dumb,it actually says in the magazine how to use it,I just didn't bother checking before going straight to the purdy twirly thingy.

The answer to your question about the Hoirrible Science skincrawler is. If you spin the widget and look ino the centre of it for 30 seconds then look at the back of your hand you will see your skin crawling. Pretty grusome the first time.
