Hi folks, quick question for you all. My girlfriend done Body Combat for around 6 months but stopped due to looking muscly, does body combat put muscles on you? She is now geting bored in the gym and shes wanting to do a class, what if she done a body combat class and then done a session in the gym would that stop her getting muscly?

Cheers

Oh no 4get....you're turning into the spelling police....!!! I think you need that job....I'm even scared to say OH when you're around :-)
its only because I'd mentioned that as my pet hate, ha ha no I just thought there were too many dones in this post, one I can handle. lol. May be that its getting late sorry marty dont take it personally. Its not you its me.... and all that crap.
Can she book a session with one of the gym instructors as they would probably be able to advise a programme to help her get the results she wants.
I've been doing body combat for a long time and find it more of a cardio exercise than a muscle toning one, was she doing anything else? I've developed a bit of muscle (not as much as I'd like) but that's mainly from the body pump class I also do. The muscle that I do have doesn't look particularly masculine though.

Personally I don't think a combat class once a week will do her much harm and she could ask one of the gym instructors about specific areas she wants toning so she knows what equipment to use and what to avoid, eg, if she wants her arms toned she wouldn't being doing squats with a bar behind her neck as that would do her legs. It's just about knowing what bits you want to focus on and an instructor could help her with that.
