I have already found something i'm stuck on and will keep this thread open incase i'm stuck with anything else, so please no spamming, get straight to the point.

1) what TWO thing does the dynamic equilibrium sign mean? the reaction is reversible? but what else? after a certain time the same amount of products and reactants are being made?

Plus you know how we get seasons because the earth is tilted. Does the earth vary the amount it tilts by, or is it because we go up and down through our orbit. and if its the first reason, if the earth is travelling so fast, why don't we notice the jerk of it stopping on the longest day, to start titling the other way?
if this is revision then you should have the answers in your books as you have already learnt this.
You can't always rely on wikipedia but in this case the entry seems okay.

I think a good point is that substances move between the chemicals at an equal rate, meaning there is no net change
If you want help with Maths let me know as that's my subject.

cazz this is to do with triple physics but isn't necessary to know it, i'm just curious.

i thougth so factor thanks.

Plus when you're doing an a* rearranging formula, is there a particular order you should do things in?

We had something silly like this (which may actually be easier than the one we had; make y the formula; and hopefull it will come out in the right format (ignore the commas)

x = y( 2 + y) + z ( y + 4)
,,,,,-------------------------
,,,,,z (2x +2y) - 3y
Question Author
but i think there were xs on both sides of the divide sign.
if that was to me molly you are wasting your time, Its all bull to me, go nuts and call it quantum physics if you like, it wont make any difference :)
Question Author
cazz you're not being very useful.
The straightforward thing to do is to multiply both sides by the denominator and then re-arrange.
-- answer removed --
With so much to actually learn, you are distracting yourself with idle musings ?

I rather think I'd be concentrating on the necessary stuff first.
Multiply both sides by the denominator which in this case is z (2x +2y) - 3y
Expand all your brackets.
Collect like terms and rearrange so that all the y terms are on one side.
Then factorise- i.e. take y outsidethe bracket.
Divide both sides by whatever is in the bracket.
That will give you an expression for y

Give me a real example to do if you want.

The bottom sets in my school just do one gcse in science over 2 years. Everyone in and above set three does a gcse in 'science' in eyar 10 and another in year 11. But fi you're in set 2 or 1 you can do those two gcse's but pick, instead of a fourth subject like french or art etc, to do triple science, where you do extra coursework and units and are examed in the in year 11. By doing this little bit extra, instead of getting 2 'science' gcses you get three, one in each science.
Question Author
ok thanks factor, i'll try and find the a* one, if i can crack that, i'm sorted with reaaranging.
Therefore it's not actually 'triple physics', is it ?
Question Author
yes it is, everyone does at leats science, some do double and on my timetable i had 'triple science' aswell.
No.
It's a third of your 'triple science'...........
Question Author
and there's a nasty solve this equation that's a*; again ignore commas they are there to format it so you can see what i see.

,,,,3,,,,,-,,,,,1,,,,,= 1
,------,,,,,,-----,,,,,,---
,,y+7,,,,,,,y+6,,,,,,,2
mollykins- my advice is not to get to drawn into debates and self justification. Maybe politely thank those challenging you for the interest they show but don't get drawn in. Your main priority now is revision and some of us will help with that if we can.
Question Author
Well the school call it triple science and is more than 1/3 as we have the extra stuff and the coursework so is 1/2, the single and double physics we did is 1/4 each
