Is dog saliva good for atheletes foot?

My friend told me that the best cure for atheletes foot is dog saliva. Since he told me this I have whipped off my socks when I get in from work and let my dog do what he loves to do (for some reason he loves to lick my feet). It really does get a bit ticklish when his tongue slips in between my toes but I have been doing this for a week now and there really does seam some signs of improvement. How long will I have to let my dog lick my feet before I am fully cured?

Dogs lick their own and sniff other dogs behinds so their noses and tongues could be a mine field of germs and you want this transferred onto an infection you already have?

If dogs lick their own wounds they heal up, so although this is a fungal infection it probably has a soothing effect. Two of my dogs like to lick my feet and I let them -its lovely in this hot weather!

Atheletes foot is a contagous fungal infection and can take up residance in the throat and nasal pasages of your dog if you let it lick your feet!

I would not let an animal lick my feet if I knew I had an infection of any kind. You never know what you may pass on!

My dad has eczema and whenever my dog sees him he licks my dad's hands. The eczema always clears up for a while. I'm sure I have read somewhere that dog saliva has natural antiseptic qualities.
