Global warming. BS?
Just read a thread about the ISS so went out to have a look. It's cloudy so I can't see it, and yes it's half ten at night but it is July and its freezing outside. Surely global warming is a load of that. I'm in Ireland by the by.

While global warming is a natural cycle for the planet, the speed at which this is happening is alarming. The world's population doubled in the last 55 years. One billion cars and many thousands of commercial planes fly every day, turning fossil fuels into poisonous gasses which the rapidly receding forests can't keep up with. Something has to happen!

flobadob is making the common mistake of confusing climate with weather.
Climate is the overall, long-term situation which obtains. Weather represents the short-term fluctuations that can happen form day to day and week to week.
Electronics buffs will recognise climate as the dc component with weather as the ac ripple that it carries.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people think their own personal experience is representative of the rest of the world.
We see it here in Global (except Ireland) Warming but you also see it a lot in the News topic usually preceded by "my mate/mother/father/uncle..."
I forget which comedian I first heard it from but
"You know if you're anything like me,... you're 5'10", brown hair with a slight limp and drive a ford Mondeo"
