Does anyone know when Milky Way (the Mars chocolate bar) changed it's centre from the light brown, malty tasting confection, to the present rather sickly white fluffy stuff? I had one for the first time in ages yesterday and it was nothing like I remembered!

Well my daughter is 18 and can only ever remember them being white lol so im guessing quite a while ago,at least maybe 10 yrs ;-)
Can't help you with the dates but I do agree that the centres are far too sickly now. I think the chocolate bar called 'Flyte' is closer to how Milky ways used to be ( unless they have changed that too since I last had one ) .
Wow yinyang do you still get flyte bars? I changed over to them when they changed the milky ways, the white center is 'orrible but have't seen them for years either :(
The chocolate flavoured centre was replaced with vanilla in 1989.

Soon after the Flyte bar appeared which reintroduced the chocolate centre i.e Flyte basically having the taste of the original Milky Way but a different shape and design.
Still get Flyte bars round here ,missnemesis - maybe they're just trying to infiltrate them into Scottish shops to make us healthier ( fat chance).

According to ths, Mily Ways were changed in the late '80's -
