How to get I rid of age/brown spots on face?

I have a couple of patches of darker pigmentation on my face, usually called brown/age/sun spots. I have tried numerous creams, some cheap, some expensive, yet nothing has faded them at all. Does anyone have any remedies or treatments that do actually work, other than trying to cover them with make up?

No creams will ever help age spots, only way they can be treated is with freezing, acids, skin sanding, electric needle and any other methods which causes a superficial destruction of the skin. These methods frequently leave white spots and occasionally scars. Lasers are much more precise and less damaging to the skin because light is used to selectively remove the pigment without damaging the normal surrounding skin. There is also less pain and less healing time required to recover from laser treatment than with non-laser treatments

I am 75 and had these age spots on the back of my hands.i faded them by putting a small dash of VINEGAR on them at bedtime.

sun exposure makes these marks horribly worse. my mom has these and now she wears spf make up and when on holiday or in hot days here she uses factor50 face cream and has worked wonders! i can hardly see them x

If you spend a lot of time in the sun then the cosmetic options such as peels and lazar ar not really option because they will come back.
