There are various medicines available and you can vary your diet, keeping a note of exactly what you eat, as some foods, or eating to excess, will exacerbate the condition. Also note down when it's at its worst and best, and exactly what and how much you've eaten, so you can see the best course of action to take in preventing it. Eat smaller meals more frequently if necessary and don't eat too much before bed. Drinking alcohol will relax the valve all the more causing more reflux. Raise the head of your bed by putting some bricks or blocks under the legs at the head end. Many people are plagued by 'nasal reflux' and think it's only caused by sinusitis etc. You can have both. See your doctor and ask for 'Pariet' or an equivalent. Best of luck and good health to you. Allan.
Allergic rhinitis....due to many things, allergy, changes in atmospheric temperature and emotional causes.
Google....Honeymoon rhinitis.
Sinusitis doesnt make your nose "run"
See your GP to rule out allergies or not as the case may be and he will advice some treatment.

All of that which Sqad says may well be true or eventuate. Only time will reveal its turgid tale.
Sqad.... You, or the 'he' you refer to, may well take that method of approach in your hypothesized-usurpation. 'She' may not.! Were a doctor, of any gender, to make such an exclamation to homedeeth, or anyone, in accordance with their putative imprimatur_ regarding 'prescribing'_ a proscription, patient-dinted, is optional. Any doctor that would 'advice' [as you put it Sqad, ipse dixit], and not 'advise' [as I would put it, and do so] some treatment, might best be given a wide berth. In this instance it could be perceived that more circumspection is warranted towards not that which emanates FROM nasal passages, but that which does, and tends to, get UP there. P'un_invited...
homedeeth... I 'advise' you to see several doctors if your first visit doesn't obviate it. Chances are, you'll receive as many diagnoses as seen doctors. Especially so, if you make no mention to each doctor that you've seen other doctors regarding your ailment. One mustn't forget that a qualified doctor is given licence to 'practise' medicine. They're not infallible, they're human beings, and will learn as they proceed, if their heart's really in it. Once again, good luck, and best of health to you. Allan.
