yes
Thanks for the link coccinelle. I used to wonder about microwaves when they first came out but now it has become an as valued family member as the internet has. Everyone is entitled to their own views regarding this and if you feel safer not to use one then by all means do so. Me personally I think that if we listened to everything out there telling us to STOP, NO and DON'T we would live a fearful life never venturing outdoors scared of radiation, fumes, bacteria carcinogens from plastic etc.. and the sad thing is then we'd bring up our children or grandchildren this way which is very damaging when everything scares and alarms you especially when the reality is contradictory.
I'm with Micky; too many cranks with their scare stories. Notice the ? in the title of the piece? That's what the Daily Mail does to scare people with all it's spurious "stories". There are no FACTS in these pieces, just OPINIONS.
I've never been too sure of microwaves in the kitchen. They are a very powerful form of radiation. I only use the microwave to soften butter from the freezer (a few seconds) and to warm a drink at night.
microwave ovens (in good condition) are well shielded; the microwave irradiation does not escape.
I cook just about everything, and bake sometimes in the microwave.

pcb it doesn't just mention that it also mentions it changes food by being microwaved which can affect your blood. I was hoping someone was going to find a link to prove this was a load of codswallops!
Try googling microwaves and health issues, loads of articles there (some in favour, some not)
