on stereoids & having vaccinations

Does it depend on what vaccination you're having whether you come off steroids for a couple of days or does it depend of it you're a human or a dog.

I only ask because my dog and grandad are on the same steroids. Yet when molly goes for her vaccinations agaisnt kennel cough etc she has to come off the steroids for a couple of days yet my grandad didn't when he had his flu jab.

Which is why, or is it both?

I don't know the answer to that mollie........but my guess.

If you are having a live vaccine.....then you must come off the steroids.
If the vaccine isn't live or is attenuated.......then one can remain on the steroids.

We do factor, but we jsut thought it was odd that molly had to come off hers.
