Strange Orange Orbs
31 Answers
Has anyone had any experiences recently witnessing strange orange or maybe other coloured orbs zooming very low in the sky?
Anyone know what they are?
And No! I hadn't been drinking.
They were not lanterns as I have seen those before. They float up. These weird lights had a definite trajectory and absolutely no sound.

They were very low and travelled quite fast across the night sky. They made absolutely no noise and flew all in line until one sped off to the left.
I was walking with someone and they were just as perplexed as me as to what they were. I wish it was the tail lights of Santa's sledge.

there was a programme on the 'Discovery' channel or some such, they couldn't - if you'll excuse the pun, shed any light on what they were either, they had fighter pilots, weather experts, geologists, and all sorts speculating. I've seen them too (always totally sober!) literally 'dance' in the sky - nothing man-made could have possibly moved at the speed and dexterity that these orbs moved at. The programmes conclusion was, they were UFO in the true sense of the words, that is unidentified flying objects.
I am quite sure they were not lanterns as I had seen some only a few days before Boxing day and they just floated upward with the breeze flickering and then extinguished.
The four bright round objects I saw on Boxing eve sped across the sky at a very low altitude and they moved across the sky, not upward like lanterns. The one that sped away from the other three went with purpose and not like a balloon had just detached itself. It was also a very calm evening and a strong wind would not cause these objects to move as they did.
I still remain perplexed. I know they were not conventional craft of any kind as they were absolutely silent.

Thank you very much Mibs. I know my Answerbank name used to be Luna-sea but I am sure on this particular occasion that I saw these strange orange lights that all my wits were in place.
I am also very glad they were witnessed by many others.
The lights I saw were low enough to hit with a tennis ball and racket. (Not that I wanted to of course). Just to give people an idea of how low they were in the sky.
Thanks again (Great Links) Wish I had a camera at the time.
